The loft suite that we stayed in was in a self contained house across the street from the reception area. The whole house was furnished in traditional style and very atmospheric. The suite itself was huge, with a lovely seating area and two separate (double) beds in the downstairs area, plus a spacious loft area, big enough to have a large bed and a seating area. There were also two bathrooms, one on each level, and a balcony (although it was mostly too hot to sit outside and enjoy that outdoor area). Everything was clean and in good repair and a very special environment to relax in when coming in from our hot walks around town. The staff was welcoming and helpful and there is a cafe on site that caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We only had one breakfast there, which was good. The only reason we didn't eat there more often was that there were many excellent neighbouring cafes that we were keen to sample.

We stayed at the Loft Suite which was located across the road from the main building, in one of the traditional heritage Peranakan homes. Even though It was 1 of the 4 suites nestled in the premises, it was massive with a lounge, dining area, 2 bathrooms, and 3 king/queen beds, including 1 shared bed in the attic. The children loved the space and we all enjoyed the unique decoration or theme. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming (Linda, Nini and Ayu). They even prepared a welcome afternoon tea with the Nyonya delicacies.

It is a historical building/. It is huge. It is well maintained and clean for what it is. A hotel room would be cleaner since it would be smaller and all the surfaces would be designed to be cleaned. But this is a historical heirloom. So a joy to stay here... despite my wife being more comfortable in a normal 5* hotel. Given the design of the 4 rooms per house. This would be a great meeting house for 4 sibiings and their families to meet and live in one house - yet have separate annexes.

We had two rooms both rooms were very spacious, the twin room upstairs was light bright, breezy and huge. The breakfast was lovely between us we tried several items from the menu and enjoyed all of them - not too much or too heavy but set you up nicely for the day. The tea service in the afternoon was lovely and the common area was stunning - we did not have enough time to sit and enjoy all the seating areas.

The heritage feel and decor kept true in this hotel. Staff helpful. Loft suite big enough to fit 6 plus space, 2 bathrooms very handy. Breakfast was not bad - not a buffet, choose from the menu. Location great, 10 mins stroll to Love Lane. The hotel is made up of a few shoplot houses long the same street. Our loft suite is situated opposite the main reception block, across the road.
